Vision & Mission

Our Vision

A city where every child — no matter their background — learns, belongs and thrives in school.

Our Mission

To bring first-generation and out-of-school children to grade level and keep them in school through bridge education, remedial support and special education.

Core Values

Every Child Counts Belonging Patience Family Engagement Accountability

Our History

Shiksha Sankalp started in 2012 when a group of college volunteers began weekend classes for children in an Andheri slum. As families asked for daily support, it grew into structured bridge schools and after-school centres across Mumbai’s western suburbs.

Founder's Story

Rohan Mehta

“The first child I taught couldn’t hold a pencil at age nine. Two years later he was reading stories to younger kids. That transformation is why Shiksha Sankalp exists — to give every child the start they were denied.”
